Welcome to LOSKI
Lex Orandi School de Kibenga was founded in August 2010 with 146 students from nursery to Year 2. Since then, our student body has doubled with nearly 400 students and we offer a complete primary school education through Year 6.
As a low-cost primary school with high academic standards, we offer parents in Burundi an affordable choice between expensive international schools and free, but underperforming public schools. Our tuition fees are only $10 a month so we are accessible for poor families in Bujumbura.
Starting in the 2015/2016 academic year, LOSKI will grow to include Year 7 for students to begin their secondary school education. Along with bringing new students on board, the next phase in LOSKI's expansion will include a brand new campus store and pharmacy!
We believe that every child has the potential for high academic achievement. Lex Orandi School de Kibenga has tailored programs for students with disabilities and we conduct regular teacher development training to ensure students' excel. LOSKI classes are in session from Monday to Saturday and we offer summer enrichment and remedial courses.
Contact us for more information and how you can help support LOSKI's mission for quality education in Burundi.
Our mission is to provide quality education in Burundi from nursery through secondary school. This is defined as comprehensive instruction in English, French, Swahili, and Kirundi that emphasizes citizenship, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. This allows education to be the tool for development and autonomy that the country needs.
We want to see Burundian students become competitive candidates in the global economy. By building a culture of reading for fun as well as for homework in early childhood, students will develop a curiosity for the world around them. As lifelong learners, our students can investigate solutions to questions both big and small. Lex Orandi School graduates will have the drive and competencies to make meaningful contributions to Burundi, East Africa, and the world.
